Hi, my name is Rosilynn!
I’m a perfectly imperfect human on a journey of learning, growing, and self-evolution.
As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, I wholeheartedly believe in the transformative power of therapy. My authority lies in understanding early childhood trauma-where wounds often first take root. I specialize in guiding kids, teens, and adults who've weathered complex childhood storms to rediscover their inner strength and rewrite narratives that no longer serve them.

I’m not your average therapist.
I will show you my humanness and authentic self.
I bring a blend of wit, humor, and deep compassion to our sessions. Earning your trust and cultivating a meaningful therapeutic relationship is a top priority for me. I use straightforward, relatable language as I believe mental health should be accessible and easy to understand. I recognize and respect the unique cultural identities and social contexts that shape your experiences. I am committed to ongoing growth and self-awareness.

The Developmental Repair model is designed to address attachment disruptions and the effects of trauma in children, adolescents, and adults. It focuses on strengthening emotion identification and regulation, addressing maladaptive coping strategies, and fostering a sense of safety and connection within attachment relationships. Through structured interventions—such as narrative therapy and sensory-based techniques—the model helps individuals rebuild trust, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and navigate the complex emotions that arise from traumatic experiences.

My approach to Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is deeply informed by a Native American lens, integrating Indigenous knowledge and traditional healing practices. This cultural perspective honors the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, offering holistic support that aligns with clients’ cultural values and lived experiences. By weaving culturally grounded practices into the TF-CBT framework, I create a safe, respectful, and empowering space where individuals across generations can heal from complex trauma and foster lasting, meaningful change.

I am trained in play therapy, a developmentally appropriate and evidence-based approach that uses play as a natural language for children to express their inner world, experiences, and emotions. Through play, children can symbolically process traumatic events, express complex feelings such as fear, confusion, or helplessness, and experiment with new ways of coping and resolving conflict. By observing and interpreting themes and metaphors that emerge in play, I gain meaningful insights into a child’s psychological landscape, allowing me to tailor interventions that support emotional healing and foster resilience.

I am certified in DC:0–5, a diagnostic classification system specifically designed for assessing mental health and developmental disorders in children from birth through five years old. This certification enables me to conduct comprehensive, developmentally informed assessments and make accurate diagnoses during this critical early period. Early identification is key in addressing the impacts of childhood trauma, as it allows for the implementation of targeted interventions that support emotional regulation, behavior management, and overall developmental well-being.
